Product Overview

E3Z-LS63 is Omron's compact amplifier-built-in photoelectric sensor with Background Suppression (BGS), ideal for presence detection on conveyor systems, pick-and-place machines, and packaging lines. A bright red Class 2 visible laser spot allows detection of very small objects (Ø 1mm) and objects as close as 10mm up to 60mm. Uniquely in its price class, the E3Z-LS63 supports both NPN (sink) and PNP (source) output type via DIP switch, eliminating the need to stock two separate variants. Threshold teaching takes place via a top-mounted push button with 8-turn trimmer potentiometer. Stable operation is guaranteed even under intense ambient light conditions (100,000 lux sunlight, 20,000 lux incandescent). IP67 front protection permits water wash-down of machinery. The M18 thread and rectangular body hybrid design provides flexible mounting; stainless mounting brackets and anti-vibration rubber are included.
