Product Overview

The CX5140 is the high-end member of the Beckhoff CX5100 family of DIN rail-mounted embedded PCs, bringing PC-based control performance to cabinets where space is at a premium. An Intel Atom E3940 quad-core processor at 1.6 GHz (burst 2.0 GHz) runs TwinCAT 3 Runtime on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise or TwinCAT/BSD Hypervisor with real-time kernel extensions. Four independent EtherCAT masters with distributed clock synchronization allow up to 65,535 EtherCAT slaves and support XPlanar, XTS, drive, IO, and measurement tasks simultaneously. Integrated DVI-I, two Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0, and two optional serial ports provide all the connectivity required for industrial panel PC and HMI applications. Fanless aluminum cooling housing is rated for -25°C to +60°C.
